The Giants placed 3B Pablo Sandoval on the DL with a foot strain. The team recalled Inf Nick Noonan from AAA Fresno (the 10-day minimum stay is waived when replacing a player placed on the DL).
Fresno filled the roster hole by having Inf Ydwin Villegas tranferred off the A+ San Jose Giants disabled list and to Fresno. Villegas will wear #6.
San Jose also placed P Jacob Dunnington on the DL (retroactive to 6/09) and added P Edward Concepcion from the extended spring training roster.
