Giants moves: Ramirez up, Kickham down
The Giants purchased the contract of reliever Ramon Ramirez from AAA Fresno. The team optioned P Michael Kickham, one day after starting (and losing) at Oakland.
The team transferred Inf Tony Abreu to the 60-day DL to clear room for Ramirez on the 40-man roster. Abreu remains on rehab with Fresno.
The team has yet to announce a corresponding move on the 40-man roster for Ramirez (perhaps designating Tony Areu for assignment?).
