The Giants officially purchased the contract of LHP Michael Kickham from Fresno. To make room on the 25-man roster, P Sandy Rosario was optioned back to Fresno. Also, P Eric Surkamp was transferred to the 60-day DL to clear room on the 40-man roster. Players on the 60-day DL are not counted as part of the 40-man roster.
Before Rosario reports to Fresno, P Austin Fleet was assigned from San Jose to Fresno (and will start Tuesday night's game).
San Jose filled their spot with P Danny Sandbrink, up from extended spring training.
