Giants 2015 offseason outlook

A note about options. They are used in two contexts here. First, it is the contract option, whether the contract would renew. The second is the option to be sent to the minors while remaining on the 40-man. This applies more towards the younger players. It is theoretical for the veterans. A player with five or more years of MLB experience must consent to being optioned. It did happen this past year with INF Casey McGehee.

For the option years remaining, the first number is the number of options used through 2015. The second is options remaining starting in 2016.
