Giants off season outlook

The following look is a look at who is signed, who is not and the various status of every player I currently have listed in the organization. I ahve gone through all the rosters through Augusta. As I add in the remaining two levels (Salem-Keizer and AZL Giants), expect nearly all those players to be "under team control."

NOTE: Free agency starts the day after the conclusion of the World Series. The Giants have a five-day window of exclusive negotiating rights.

Within those five days, the Giants can extend a "qualifying offer" to the player. The player can accept (and thus be re-signed), or decline (and resume free agency). The player must decide seven days after an offer is made. If the player declines, and signs with another team, the Giants are eligible to receive compensation (in the form of a draft pick).

Potential minor league free agents

There are multiple ways a minor league player can be eligible for free agency ("six-year" free agent- which really means playing parts of seven eligible seasons in the minors, "XX-D" free agents, meaning the player was optioned in 2014 for at least the second time in his career, or "secondary contract" free agents. I do not break down who is on what list here, but a great explanation can be found here). I do not have knowledge if any of these players have signed a 2015 contract or has some kind of option.
