INF Emmanuel Burriss is now officially on the Grizzlies roster. To make room, the team placed C Tyler LaTorre on the DL.

Grizzlies activate Whiteside, Christian
The Grizzlies activated C Eli Whiteside and OF Justin Christian after both were optioned by the Giants.
To make room, the team re-assigned C Rey Duran to the Arizona League Giants and placed INF Ydwin Villegas on the DL.
Villegas scored the winning run in Thursday's 11-inning game, and he did not appear hurt in doing so.
INF Emmanuel Burriss has not been activated yet after being outrighted the Giants. He should appear with the team soon.

Grizzlies roster update
Although the Giants sent down C Eli Whiteside and OF Justin Christian, along with outrighting INF Emmanuel Burriss, none of the three were activated for Thursday's game.
This left the team with 24 active players, so they activated C Rey Duran (wearing #9), who served as the team's bullpen catcher for the past few weeks. The Dominican signed as a non-drafted free agent in 2007, and has played the last five years for the DSL and Arizona Rookie league Giants.

The Giants made two moves on August 2: they activated C Hector Sanchez and P Shane Loux from the DL. To clear room, the optioned C Eli Whiteside and OF Justin Christian back to AAA Fresno.
Fresno is now at a full 25-man roster. They had been shorthanded by one since the recall of 1B Brett Pill on July 31.

Pence activated; Huff on DL (again)
The Giants activated OF Hunter Pence (who is wearing #8). To clear room on the 25-man roster, the team placed 1B/OF Aubrey Huff on the DL.
