September catch up

Some post-roster expansion moves....

The Giants released 2B/OF Kensuke Tanaka and outrighted P Dan Runzler to Fresno. Both were designated for assignment.

P Matt Cain was activated from the DL.

P Chris Gloor and P Craig Westcott were transferred from Richmond to Fresno.

P Tom Vessella was activated by Fresno and assigned to Richmond. Richmond also activated P Scott Shuman from the DL.

P Austin Fleet assigned from Richmond to San Jose.

Also in San Jose, OF Chris Lofton and Inf Brock Bond go on the DL. Inf Mitchell Delfino goes from Augusta to San Jose. P Jesus Galindo goes from the Augusta DL to San Jose. P Tyler Rogers and P Pat Young go from Salem-Kezier to San Jose.

In Augusta, P Jacob Dunnington is activated from the DL.P Joan Gregorio was activated then placed again on the DL. P Ian Gardeck goes on the DL. C Fernando Pujadas assigned from AZL to Augusta.

Giants moves

Friday night, the Giants activated OF Angel Pagan from the 60-day DL. To clear room on the 25-man roster, the team optioned OF Francisco Peguero to Fresno. To make room on the 40-man, the Giants transferred OF Andres Torres to the 60-day DL.

Fresno, in turn, sent P Austin Fleet to San Jose. San Jose has not announced a corresponding move.

For September 1, the Giants made only one move: activated 2B Tony Abreu from the 15-day DL (and ending his rehab stint from Fresno).

Expect more moves on Tuesday. Fresno and Richmond's seasons end Monday. San Jose remains in the playoffs of the Cal League.
