The Giants recalled RHP George Kontos and optioned INF Adam Duvall. This apparently reveals a rule that a player called up as a 26th player during double header games is exempt from the 10-day rule that an optioned player must stay in the minors. Normally, a player optioned like Kontos last Friday, must spend at least 10 days in the minors (unless he is called up to replace a player placed on the DL in the interim).
Since Fresno is in Memphis through Wednesday, and an optioned player has 72 hours to report, I wonder if Fresno will receive a player from AA Richmond while they still play there.
