The Giants recalled OF Juan Perez and purchased the contract of 1B Travis Ishikawa. To make room, they optioned INF Adam Duvall and designated INF Tony Abreu for assignment.
Abreu spent four days with the Giants, playing in three games, going 0-for-4.
Fresno: Activated RHP Austin Fleet and RHP George Kontos. C Trevor Brown assigned from San Jose to Fresno. LHP Kelvin Marte assigned from Richmond to San Jose (yet to report). Removed LHP Dan Runzler from the roster (destination unknown). C Brad Moss removed from roster (to parts unknown). RHP Jorge Bucardo transferred to San Jose.
Richmond: placed LHP Josh Osich on the DL (shoulder impingement). RHP Chris Stratton assigned from San Jose to Richmond and RHP Carlos Alavarado assigned from Augusta to Richmond (to replace Osich and Marte).
San Jose: Placed RHP Tyler Mizenko on the DL retroactive to July 26; placed LHP Joe Kurrasch on the DL retroactive to July 27. C Jared Deacon assigned from Salem-Keizer to San Jose. Expect more moves as the San Jose roster is only at 23.
Augusta: activated LHP Christian Jones from the DL; RHP Brandon Farley transferred from AZL Giants to Augusta. Placed LHP Carlos Diaz on the DL.
Salem-Keizer: INF Christian Lichtenhaler assigned to AZL Giants; placed OF Leonardo Fuentes on DL retroactive to July 24; C Rene Melendez and INF Hunter Cole assigned to SK from AZL Giants.
AZL Giants: OF Daniel Carbonell (the Cuban signee on the 40-man roster) moved to active roster; RHP Logan Webb (4th round pick) and OF Stetson Woods (9th round pick) moved to active roster.
