No major moves by the team in the final week of spring training. On 3/22, the team released INF Wilson Alvarez and P Ramon Ramirez from their minor league contracts. Many minor leaguers were official assigned to minor league camps.
In search for a back-up infielder, INF Nick Noonan's play the last few days has helped his chances. Although he was optioned to Fresno earlier this spring, the team can still recall him.
The team also optioned P Dan Runzler on 3/24. Today (3/26), the purchased the contract of P Chad Gaudin, which means his spot on the 40-man and 25-man roster are confirmed. He made the team, writes SF Chroncile beat reporter Hank Schulman.
